I was both excited and hesitant to read this continuation of the Night Angel Series. I read the original trilogy about 15 years ago and I remember loving it at the time. I have been meaning to reread it but I never did quite get around to it. And after reading this installment, I think I shouldn't. I should just keep my original fond memories.
The Bone Shard War is overal a satisfying conclusion whose biggest downfall was its length. Two years after the ending of the second book is where The Bone Shard War starts...
The thing about Some Desperate Glory is that you aren't going to like the characters, especially our main character Kyr. She was raised to be a facist, radicalized.
The second book of this series starts a few months after the ending of Grave Secrets. And I must wonder about Tony's life choices.
