Books are strange things. Sometimes you can be past the first 100 pages and wonder where things are going and are you even really enjoying it. By the end you are hooked. That was Shadow Captain for me.
A Curse So Dark and Lonely is an enthrally but by no means perfect retelling of beauty and the beast.
The beauty of Seanan McGuire’s Wayward Children books are that they are short and you can read them separate from each other. Doesn’t mean they don’t pack a punch as does In an Absent Dream, book 4.
Lord of Shadows is a very solid, all encompassing book that ends up slamming right into you at the end. Read this if you already have book 3 in your possession. I warn you.
One of the most anticipated releases of 2018 has to have been the third Wayfarers book by Becky Chambers. Was it a disappointment? No. Was it different from the other two? Yes.
