Most Read Authors of 2022 | #TopTenTuesday 370

Today we are meant to be talking about our bookish goals for 2023 for Top Ten Tuesday (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) but since I already did that I decided to share a list of another topic. My most read authors. Sometimes I look back at a year and realize that I actually read a whole lot of a certain author. It is an interesting statistics.

Aliette de Bodard – 10 books

The Red Scholar’s Wake | Books, Earth and Coursthip | Lullaby for a Lost World | Charms, Ghosts and Grievances | The House of Sundering Flames | The House of Binding Thorns | The House of Shattered Wings | Of Dragons, Feasts and Murders | The Tea Master and the Dectective | Fireheart Tiger

Aliette de Bodard is one of the authors I discovered in 2022. I had known about her before 2022 of course. You can’t read fantasy diversely and not encounter the mention of Bodard. But it wasn’t until this year that I actually read a novella by her. And there from there I read a whole trilogy and its companion novella’s.

Gail Carriger – 6 Books

Reread: Soulless | Changeless | Blameless
Heartless | Timeless | Curious Case of the Werewolf That Wasn’t

I read the first three parasol protectorate a few years ago. But finally finished the series in 2022.

Jeanine Frost – 5 Books

Destined for an Early Grave | At Grave’s End | First Drop of Crimson | Eternal Kiss of Darkness | This Side of The Grave

I continued on with the Night Huntress series after finding a few paperbacks later on in the series secondhand. Still a little on the fence if I want to continue on with this series. I’m not nessecarily very attached to these characters or anything.

TJ Klune – 5 books

Wolfsong | Ravensong | Heartsong | Brothersong | The House in the Cerulean Sea

TJ Klune I read for the first time in 2021 and in 2022 I managed to pick up one of his series and of course one of his standalones.

Alice Oseman – 3 books

Reread: Heartstopper Volume 1 and 2

I’ve had the ebook of Solitaire for YEARS. Literally the first one I ever bought. I’m glad I finally managed to read it. And then I reread a bit of Heartstopper.

Terry Pratchett – 3 books

Feet of Clay | Jingo | The Fifth Elephant

Of course I read some Pratchett every year. I’m still working my way through The City Watch arc.

Anne Bishop – 3 books

Reread: Lake Silence | Wild Country

I reread the World of The Others Books in preperation of Crowbones. I still want to reread the original 5 books as well. Maybe in 2023?

Nghi Vo – 3 books

Siren Queen | When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain | Into the Riverlands

Nghi Vo writes a lot of interesting things. I’ve really enjoyed the The Singing HIlls Cycle Novellas but I sometimes have a harder time with her longer stories.

Chloe Gong – 3 books

These Violent Delights | Our Violent Ends | Foul Lady Fortune

This year I finally picked up the duology I heard so much about, These Violent Delights. And I was lucky enough to be able to read the start to its duology sequel right away. Which was a good thing.

Ali Hazelwood – 2 books

The Love Hypothesis | Love on the Brain

Despite being out of my normal comfort books I did pick up some romance this year. And clearly I especially loved Ali Hazelwood’s books.
