Dancing out of December 2022

December is always so full with holidays and all the stress that comes with that.

The Numbers

  1. Heartless (Parasol Protectorate 4) by Gail Carragher | 4 stars
  2. Timeless (Parasol Protectorate 5) by Gail Carragher | 3 stars
  3. The Curious Case of the Werewolf That Wasn’t (Parasol Protectorate 0,5) by Gail Carragher | 3 stars
  4. The World We Make (Great Cities 2) by N.K. Jemisin | 3 stars | ARC
  5. The House in the Cerulean City by T.J. Klune | 5 stars
  6. The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen | 4 stars
  7. Lost in the Moment and Found (Wayward Children 8) by Seanan McGuire | 4,5 stars | ARC
  8. Emily Wilde’s Encyclopeadia of Faeries (Emily Wilde 1) by Heather Fawcett | 4 stars | ARC
  9. Back in a Spell (Thistle Grove 3) by Lana Harper | 4 stars | ARC
  10. Deeplight by Frances Hardinge | 4 stars

⌘ The start of December always starts with the Dutch Sint Nicholas activities until the 5th. It is always a bit of a tension filled time for the kids as they believe in him as if he is real (like santa clause in USA). I enjoy it when Merijn loves what he gets but for the most part it gives him so much tension that he develops physical pains and stimms a lot.

⌘ Then the focus changes to Christmas and the tension for the kids stays. Christmas isn’t as big a deal as Sint Nicholas but there are still things that are not the normal school schedule. I could really feel in the week before Christmas I had the same problem. That I would just be glad it was over with all the little extras you have to do.

⌘ We did get some good news on behalf of my father. The cancer isnt gone (that is not going to happen likely) but the treatment is working so well that he got his values as low as they could possibly become with this treatment.

⌘ I went back and forth a little but I finally made an instagram account for my bullet journaling. I’m slowly posting my 2023 set up on there right now. I haven’t quite decided if I want to post my bujo set up here and if I should keep Show Your Bujo Theme going on here. We’ll see how I feel about it.

  1. December is pretty stressful for me as well, as my husband’s birthday is only a few days before Christmas, and my dad’s birthday is the first week of December. Great news about your dad’s cancer!
