Wrap Up

Dancing out of July 2022

July was quite summery and much more filled with books than I expected. Unfortunately August has already thrown a shadow over it.

The Numbers

In January I read a total of 15 books which makes the total of 2021 74 books read.
Of the 15 books 14 books were fantasy and 1 was sci-fi.
Out of the 30 days of July I read 15 days which amounted to a total of 5608 pages.
The rating average of this month was 3,8 stars.

  1. Zachary Ying and the Dragon Emperor by Xiran Jay Zhao | 4 stars | ARC
  2. Jingo (Discworld) by Terry Pratchett | 4 stars
  3. This Vicious Grace (The Last Finestra 1) by Emily Thiede | 4 stars | ARC
  4. Verse and Vengeance (The Magical Bookshop 4) by Amanda Flower | 4 stars
  5. The Daughter of Dr. Moreau by Silvia Moreno-Garcia | 4stars | ARC
  6. A Half-Built Garden by Ruthana Emrys | 3 stars | ARC
  7. A Darkness at the Door (Dauntless Path 3) by Intisar Khanani | 4 stars | ARC
  8. The Seers Premonition by Urusula Visser | 3 stars
  9. The Tensorate Series by Neon Yang | 4 stars
  10. Die Duftapotheke 6 by Anna Ruhe | 4 stars
    – Duftapotheke Secret Parfum Book by Anna Ruhe | 4 stars *
  11. Six Crimson Cranes (Six Crimson Cranes 1) by Elizabeth Lim | 4 stars
  12. At Grave’s End (Night Huntress Univserse 3) by Jeanine Frost | 3 stars
  13. Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress Univserse 4) by Jeaniene Frost | 4 stars
  14. First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress Universe 5) by Jeaniene Frost | 2 stars
  15. Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress Univserse 6) by Jeaniene Frost | 3 stars

* This book is a little extra to the Duftapotheke series and I could not import it to goodreads. It is not big so that is okay. I was happy to see that the Anna Ruhe is going to continue on in this world later on this year and I hope it will be translated to Dutc as well. Otherwise I need to better my German haha.

⌘ July was the month of the start of Summer vacation. Merijn had the first two weeks of July still at school. It was hard because the school days become a bit messy but he survived.

⌘ Husband’s vacation started right along with Merijn’s. On the 22nd we left for our camping vacation until the 29th. You can read more about it here.

⌘ I don’t have much to say about July because the start of August kind of sucked that out of me. They think my dad has more cancer so we are back inside that mill.
