A day earlier than usual but I committed to a blog blast tomorrow for one of my favorite series. So here we are, on Monday.
Today it is the well known and reocurring seasonal tbr list. This time for Summer. Yesterday I posted about how my Spring Tbr went (rather nicely if I do say so myself) so I do feel rather confident about this Summer tbr. However Summer is always a harder season for me to read in. The warmth and that my son is home for 6 weeks off it cuts into my reading time a whole lot.
But I do like setting goals and challenges as you well know so lets just jump into the 10 books on my list.

The Fifth Elephant | Black Water Sister | The Dragon’s Promise | Zachary Ying and the Dragon Emperor | The Tensorate Series | The God of Lost Words | Deeplight | The Jasmine Throne | The Language of Ghosts | These Violent Nights
There are only 3 arcs this time (The Dragon’s Promise, Zachary Ying and These Violent Nights). But I decided to focus on a few books I’ve really wanted to read (Black Water Sister, Tensorate Series, The God of Lost Words and The Fifth Elephant). And the other three are books from my picked by twitter friends challenge that I haven’t made much progress with. So I think that is good for me.
Ooh, I’m going to check out The Language of Ghosts.

These look like great picks! I hope you get to a lot of them. From your list (though several are on my TBR) I have only read the Tensorate series. I really liked it, though, so I hope you do too!

I read the first tensorate book but I really just want to read them in one go.

That makes sense! I do think you’ll probably get the most out of them that way.

There’s a lot of books here I hadn’t heard of before but they have such pretty covers! I have The Jasmine Throne waiting for me on my shelves too, not sure when I’ll get to it though! Hpapy reading!

Some interesting looking books here. I don’t often do a TBR list as I get distracted. This year I was supposed to make a dent in my massive TBR pile and I think that I have read one so far…
Have a great week and I hope you get to some of these books!

Yeah that is downside to tbrs, you often forget about them.

You do! My books are in the spare room so I don’t see them looking at me!!!

Yeah, I have trouble reading when the weather is nice, too. I hope you get to do a lot of fun things with your son. 🙂

Thank you. I mostly have trouble reading when my son is home. Not enough quiet 😀

I hope you enjoy all of these! I always used to find summer to be my most productive reading season as I had a long time off from uni and lots of sunny days where I sat and read outside for hours. That’s been slightly chopped down by the whole having to go to work thing since I finished uni, but I do still find I read a lot over the summer.

Before that was a kid that was sort of true for me too. But Summer and vacation means that I have an almost 6 year old running around who wants attention and is not quiet (nor should he be). I read the most when he is at school

These all look like fabulous summer reads, honestly. I hope you get to them all (or most). My reading tends to go down in summer too sometimes, but maybe this year I’ll do better ha hahaha!!
