Top Ten Don’t Leave the Path Books | #WyrdandWonder | #TropeTuesday | #TopTenTuesday

We are at the second Tuesday that falls during Wyrd and Wonder and I am still changing the prompt for Top Ten Tuesday (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl). Only hearing about Wyrd and Wonder for the first time today? You can read more about it here.

Today the Trope Tuesday prompt is Don’t Leave the Path. Which is one you can take a bit broadly. There can be an actual path one leaves, portal fantasies or just a struck path of behavement and rule one bends away from. All of the books below match with that one way or the other.

Over the Woodward Wall | Howl’s Moving Castle | The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making | Coraline | Amulet
Pages & Co. | Furthermore | The Library of the Unwritten | The Ocean At the End of the Lane | The Wee Free Men

  1. I still have to start reading the Pages & Co books. I used to watch the author’s stop action book review videos on YouTube all the time. I wish she still did them. I wonder if she has an Instagram account where she might be doing them. 🤔

  2. Oooh, yes! Leaving the path in these books does get the MCs in trouble. I really enjoyed reading Coraline this past October, though I did want to yell through the pages at her to stay on her side of the portal world.
