2021 Brought us so many books that it was hard to keep up. I don’t know about you lot but I wanted to read so many more of the books that came by. It is always a struggle though to balance the new releases and older releases. And so for today we are looking at 2021 releases we were excited about but didn’t end up reading.
Black Water Sister by Zen Cho | May 11th 2021
I am such a big fan of Zen Cho and I don’t know why I kept putting of this book. I even had an arc but I was so swamped with arcs and my reading speed was so bad at that time. I think I just wanted to take my time with this book.
The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri | June 8th 2021
This suffered from the same thing as Black Water Sister unfortunately 😦
Redemptor by Jordan Ifueko | August 17th 2021
I went out to buy this as soon as it turned up in my local bookstore but then I did not pick it up. Story of my life that is.
A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee | August 3rd 2021
Suffered from the same thing as did most other books in this list. My reading suffered and here we are.
The God of Lost Words by A.J. Hackwith | November 2nd 2021
I am such a fan of this series but nobody is talking about this specific release at all which is sad. But with life getting in the way its release just passed me by.

I don’t know the Hackwith series at all, but it does draw my attention.

I can’t wait to read Jasmine Throne and A Lesson in Vengeance too! I love that cover for God of Lost Words and Redemptor and the first books in both series are still on my TBR but I can’t wait to read them (may 2022 by the year for it LOL)! Happy reading, Annemieke! 😃

Black Water Sister was one of my faves from last year, I hope you get a chance to read it at your own pace. I still have The Jasmine Throne to read, I’ve somehow ended up with two copies of it so have no excuse.

I really want to read The God of Lost Words but I need to read the 2nd book in the series first. I loved the first book. I hope you enjoy Black Water Sister when you read it. It was my first by the author and I definitely want to read more by her.
