Bye 2021, Hello 2022
Well not quite yet but at the end of the day at least.
I hope you all will have a great turn of the year and that 2022 may bring us less covid and more books!

+Technically at the time of typing this I haven’t actually finished it yet but I expect to during the evening leading up to January 1st. But it is why I removed the numbers for now.
⌘ We had Sinterklaas or Sint Nicholas as some of you know it, on the 5th. It is mostly a children’s holiday here but we celebrate with the inlaws every year. Even before Merijn was born.
⌘ There was a lot of fear creating in the media regarding what kind of new rules we were going to be getting for Covid. Initially the shops (except supermarkets) had to close at 17.00 and little could take place after these hours. Then later the schools had to close down a week before Christmas vacation. And a few days after that all of a sudden we got a big lockdown in which only essential shops are allowed open and no events were allowed. You can imagine how much unrest that brought us and everyone else here.
⌘ I’m so over it all. At some point we are going to have to figure out a better way than this to deal with covid because so many people are drowning. We are at about 2 years now.
⌘ So Merijn has been home a lot more which has messed quite a bit with my reading and blogging and my shop. I haven’t been able to get through those last few arcs that I wanted for instance. I did read a lot at the start of the month though.
⌘ Christmas was fine. We exchanged gifts and had snacks for dinner on christms eve. And then first christmas day we had dinner at the inlaws. Second christmas day was just easy going.
⌘ Unfortunately Merijn got sick the day after Christmas. A cold with a virus that made him puke for a while. And then I got sick lol.

⌘ Speed Skating | Olympic Qualifying Tournament
As the title suggests it was that time in the Olympic season for the Dutch speedkaters to qualify for the Olympics happening in 36-35 days or so? It is always a hard tournament for the Dutch speedskaters because we have so many good ones and so few places.
⌘ Paw Patrol the Movie
Merijn saw this in the theatres in September. It came out on dvd December 24th and my gosh. We’ve watched it over 5 times now. At least it isn’t a bad movie.

⌘ Karen from For What It Is Worth shared the custom bookmark I made for her for winning La La in the Library’s giveaway in this post.
This monthly wrap up will be linked up with the monthly one by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction. This so we can blog hop to each others wrap ups easier.
I’m really over it too! I can imagine how you feel.
Hopefully 2022 will be better for us all, I wish you a great new reading year 🙂

I hope that you are all feeling better soon. I can’t imagine the pressure on the Dutch speedskaters, as they always seem to do so well in international competition. It must be a fantastic event to watch, though.

Jammer genoeg.
