Back at the start of October I saw this fun book tag over on The Corner of Laura. Since Halloween is Sunday it seemed like a good one to do this week. This book tag was created by The Bookish Porcupine.
I’m also doing this for the annual mini event of Wyrd and Wonder: Spooktastic Reads
Halloween and trick or treating are still not really things that are done in the Netherlands. We have sint maarten where kids do something similar to trick or treating, but honestly that is only a thing in a few areas here. So I’ve never had the joy of holding up a basket for treats. Pity me.
I’m going to do this with the books I own or have read so I might have strange answers. Who knows what is on my shelves.
1.) Creepy house on the corner of the street: Book with a creepy cover
I have three for you. Feast your eyes on The Restorer. This whole series has graveyard angel statues on the cover. How is that not freaking creepy! The Haunting of Aveline Jones is a ghosty MG and that cover puts you right in the mood of fall. It also takes places around Halloween. Brrr. And lastly The Whispering Skull. A skull in a glass bottle smiling at you. Let that haunt your dreams.
2.) Lights out (party poopers): A book you want to read when you want to escape
Probably Enchanted Inc.
3.) The house that gives out the cheap candy: Guilty pleasure book
4.) The house with the best decorations on the block: Best haunting/Halloween themed cover
Still going with The Haunting of Aveline Jones. Best mood.
5.) The house that gives out the best candy: #1 Halloween recommendation
I am backing Laura on this and going for Mexican Gothic.
1.) Corn Maze or Haunted House?
Corn Maze? Never done that before
2.) Classic or Unique Costume?
Classic. Who wants to stand out? Not me.
3.) Sexy or Scary Costume?
Scary. What better way to hide the knives…or the candy.
4.) Comedy or Horror Halloween Film?
Please make me laugh.
5.) Chocolate or Sour Candy?
Honestly I like both so I’m not sure.
