Book Haul

Book Haul | End of Summer Vacation

The End is here. Of the Summer vacation that is. Merijn started school on Monday again so here I am just wrapping up the books I got during the Summer. It’s not as bad as it sounds and I’ve read some. Go me!

A Psalm for the Wild-Built ( Monk and Robot 1) by Becky Chambers = READ
Of course my pre order of Psalm came in! And I read it. I am very curious to see how this will continue on.

The Shadow of the Gods (The Bloodsworn Saga 1) by John Gwynne = READ
I read The Shadow of the Gods for review a bit ago and I had to have a physical copy of it. Look at that epic cover. I love it.

Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger
When I picked up The Shadow of the Gods I also saw this copy of Elatsoe and as award season bumped it up my list I bought it along with it.

The City of Lost Time (Duftapotheke 5) by Anna Ruhe = READ
I finally got a copy of this 5th installment. You all know I love this German MG and I hope one day it will be translated to English for you all to enjoy as well. It also means that I am now the Dutch releases are up to date with the German releases. Which means more wait time. Boo.

Paola Santiago and the River of Tears (Paolo Santiago 1) by Tehlor Kay Meija
Dragon Pearl (Thousand Worlds 1) by Yoon Ha Lee

One of my long term goals is to read the books that Rick Riordan Presents publishes. They all sound amazing and I haven’t been paying them enough attention. Dragon Pearl has been on my radar for years and years as has Yoon Ha Lee been so I really hope I will love them.

Heartstopper volume 4 by Alice Oseman = READ
Finally picked up a copy of volume 4 and read it right away of course. This one really went at the heart strings.

Review Copies

Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune
Servent Mage by Kate Elliott
The Bone Ship’s Wake (The Tide Child 3) by R.J. Barker
A Letter to Three Witches by Elizabeth Bass
Far From the Light of Heaven by Tade Thompson
★ Certain Dark Things by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

  1. A Psalm for the Wild Built has the most gorgeous cover… And it also sounds really amazing. I can’t wait to check that out 🙂 I have a few of these on my physical TBR as well and I’m looking forward to them, too! Happy reading!

  2. Zo’n leuke nieuwe aanwinsten. Het is me ondertussen eindelijk gelukt om aan De magische apotheek – reeks te beginnen en het eerste deel vond ik alvast heel leuk. Denk je dat Heartstopper iets voor me is?
