top ten tuesday

Fantasy Books with Nature on the Cover | #toptentuesday 288 | #WyrdandWonder

More covers on the horizon. Our magical horizon.

This week for top ten tuesday we are sharing books with nature on the cover. And of course with Wyrd and Wonder happening these all had to be fantasy books in one way or another. I find it interesting that most of the covers below are so dark. How is that with you when you look at nature covers for fantasy books?

Girl, Serpent, Thorn | Between Starfalls | The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in Water | Silver in the Wood | Into the Mystic vol 3 | The Goblins of Bellwater | Wintersong | The Gospel of Loki | Howl’s Moving Castle | The Magicians

  1. Great list! I never really thought about it before but you’re right, when it comes to trees and nature on fantasy covers, the tone is quite dark! There’s always some kinda creepy/mystical vibe to it. I love it though! The Silver in the Woods cover is one of my absolute FAVES ๐Ÿ˜

  2. Emily Tesh is one author I’ve heard great things about, and that cover (is it the Green Man?) is brilliant. Howl’s Moving Castle and Wintersong are old favorites, so good to see them here.

  3. You’re right, nature covers can be dark! I think that’s why I’m so drawn to Girl, Serpent, Thorn. I need to cross that one off my TBR this year!
