Ride the Unicorns! | Wyrd and Wonder 2021

If you are a frequent visitor of my blog you will know what the approach of May means.

That is right! We are preparing for Wyrd and Wonder 2021!

Click the banner to go to the complete explanation and sign-up post over on Imyril’s blog. But to summarize, Wyrd and Wonder is a month long celebration of fantasy. Through reading, chats, readalongs and blog posts about anything that has to do with fantasy. There is always a lovely group of bloggers and readers that joins in.

Apparently I’ve decided to skip the pegasus and go straight for unicorns this year (they are easier to draw, shh)

This year the readalong is going to be The Boneshard Daughter! You can read more about the details here.

What I am planning on reading

Shadow of Gods
A Master of Djinn

  1. Dragons and Fantasy artists on Instagram sounds like a great post! Looking forward to it.
It is it enough that I’m planning to make a plan for Wyrd and Wonder or do I have to actually make the plan, and posts? Won’t they write themselves if I open my blog often enough?

  2. Hallo, Hallo Annemieke,

*waves!* I’ve finally started to make it onto your blog this Wyrd And Wonder – I wanted to let you know you inspired me with my banners for the event this year! I’ve loved unicorns since I was a young girl – which is why when a certain infamous fantasy series kept bringing up unicorns in a negative way it was hard for me. However that aside – the pegasus and the unicorn are top favourite magical creatures for me, but as I sent to design my banners it was the unicorn that stood out to me this year and that I believe was inspired by you as I found your journal layouts on Twitter the night I was still feeling quite unwell. I find your drawings inspiring because of your style and how you draw – I’d love to get better at it myself and what I love to draw is Fantasy or Speculative Art in general. Haven’t had the chance to thank you properly until now – so if you drop by and see the book review badge for W&W you’ll know why there’s a unicorn on it!! 🙂 🙂 *big hugs*

PS I get to join the readalong this year!! Definitely keen on Paranormal vs UF and your TTTs look smashing as well. I’ll be coming back round quite often indeed! Happy Wyrd And Wonder!!

I welcome your thoughts and opinions!
