Dancing out of March 2021

What is it with the 4 star ratings of this month. I mean it is good, but also a bit mediocre and all. Like nothing really stands out. I wonder if that is my blandness at the moment. Huh.

personal 2021

⌘ I had typed a whole thing here but as I was editing another part of this post everything dissapeared. Very funny WP. I know it is April 1st as I’m working on this but deleting is not cool. I was already drawing a blank the first time I was typing things here and even more so the second time around. Lol.

⌘ I think I’m doing better as a whole. I am a little less tired and I find it easier to start doing things again. I think you will have noticed that I am a bit more back on here and that I went through my comment folder. I couldn’t reply to all of the older ones but I’ll try to be better again this time around. So far so good.

⌘ I updated my etsy shop but haven’t made any new sales on it. It is a bit disheartening to be honest but I’ll continue to make things. I do want to focus a bit more on bookish and cat things for the shop now. So more bookish fanarts and the like and just my fun cat things. I think that might draw more new people in to buying something. I hope.

⌘ I also have a 100 follower giveaway going on until the end of April 5th on my shops instagram so you can still enter!

⌘ I joined an Easter Book swap so I spend some time on that in March. I created some things along with the book and managed to paint the package in Easter theme. I’ll show the unboxing next Sunday!

  1. 4 star books are weird, aren’t they? Obviously we liked them enough to rate them highly… just not *too* highly. The line between 4 and 5 stars has always felt the weirdest to me. 3 stars are easy: they’re books that I liked. But where is the line between “liked a lot” and “loved”? Sometimes it’s hard to find.

So that’s a long-winded way of saying “I know what you mean.” LOL

    1. So true. For me that is the first feeling after reading is done, well for the most part. Because sometimes that doesn’t work either. Rating is so confusing haha.

  2. Thank you so much for the feature! I absolutely feel you on WordPress being less than helpful at times – deleting things is just rough. I hope that April is treating you really well. Happy reading!

  3. 4 star ratings are weird, because they’re good, but not THAT good. And we all want to read books that are just THAT good. Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better! Hope you’ll have a great April.

    1. Yes and I like the 4 star books too but I also kind of miss the up and down thing you know. If everything gives you the same thing, that gets boring, you know?

  5. Thanks so much for linking to my post, Annemieke! I can’t help but giggle a little at your comment about 4 stars being mediocre. It’s so interesting how we all rate differently, because to me a 3-star is a middle of the road, okay read and 4-stars means I enjoyed it a lot but it wasn’t quite favorite status. This is a big reason that reviews matter hahaha

Looks like you had a good reading month and I hope April has been kind to you!

    1. You are welcome.

Haha normally 4 stars is I enjoyed it a lot but when you only read 4 stars it just feels so average haha. Like no real standouts above or below.
