Spring is just around the corner, and hayfever has started nice and early this year. Spring cleaning always jumps at is at this point. I’ll be honest and say that I am not much of a spring cleaning person. Not even much of a cleaning person. So I decided for today’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt, spring cleaning freebie, I would just look at some of the TBR books I’ve had on my physical shelf for a long time.
Top Ten Tuesday, as always, is hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl!

- Splintered by A.G. Howard
- Well of Darkness by Margaret Weis and Tracey Hickman
- Profeet van de Duivel by Adrian Stone
- Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne
- The Magician’s Guild by Trudi Canavan
- The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
- Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchett
- Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
- Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige
- Half a King by Joe Abercrombie
I did something similar- stuff I’m hoping to review soon. You know, if I ever resume READING lol. I’m really wanting to try Pratchett one of these days…

I had The Magician’s Guild on my shelf for the longest time before I was honest about not reading it and gave it to a friend. I listened to the Chaos Walking trilogy on audio from my library but not sure I’d recommend that, or the books in general as I really did not llike the main character.
My TTT: Book’s I’ve taken off my TBR.

Somehow it just keeps making it. I feel like as a big fantasy reader I need to have read it.
A lot stands and fallws with the main character for sure.

Ja sommige boeken blijven gewoon onder the radar vliegen.

I’ve read Weis’ and Hickman’s other book Dragons of Autumn Twilight (it’s the first in their Dragonlance series) and it was pretty good! Not the best ever, but it was light and fun to read for a fantasy adventure! Happy reading 🙂

Dorothy Must Die has been on my TBR forever too😁

It is one of those books that never makes it on the top of the tbr haha.

I’ve had Splintered and The Magician’s Guild on my TBR for a while too. I ended up getting rid of The Knife of Never Letting Go and Dorothy Must Die in an unhaul because I’d lost interest.

Oh man, I feel like I should probably do a version of your list too, and post it on the blog so that I have some public accountability for actually reading the books I’ve owned forever and keep saying I’m going to read “soon”… 😀 I hope you enjoy these books when you get to them!

Haha I did this a few years ago too and somehow I don’t think I’ve actually read those books haha.

Maybe I’ll pull from my oldest physical TBR shelves for an upcoming seasonal TBR list. Hmmm.

I loved The Magician’s Guild although I admittedly read it 8 years ago, it was my first foray into fantasy after not reading for years and years and it was fantastic! I remember running back to the library and immediately checking out as many books by Trudi Canavan as I could 😍 I hope you enjoy it!

Ah that is awesome. I feel like as a big fantasy fan I should definitely read it.

I won Dorothy Must Die from the author, but had to wait for it because it was to be signed and she was on a book tour, so I bought the prequel novella to tide me over and I hated her writing. I never ended up reading it and I traded it for a hardcover of ADSOM. Ha ha. 😏
I still hope you will read Splintered, but I think you will hate the second book. 😛 The third book was my favorite. 📚
I really liked Anna Dressed in Blood, but I read it during the time Baz was super ill and we were at the doctors and hospitals all the time. I read a lot of YA Paranormal at that time because the stories were easy to settle back into with so many interruptions, and I sometimes wonder if I read them now if I would still like them as much. 📚

Haha we will have to see 😉
Hmm yeah I kind of have that with a lot of books from a few years ago, especially YA, where I wonder how I would feel about them now.

I read Splintered and Anna Dressed in Blood a few years back and really enjoyed them back then, though I’m not sure if I’d still feel the same if I read them today. The Knife of Never Letting Go has also been on my TBR forever.
