Dancing out of February 2021

February was the month of sleep, snow and the start of Spring, surprisingly.
I’m still not reading enough phsyical books to make a pretty read stack here so you will have to do with a snow picture of us.

The Numbers

In February I read a total of 9 books which makes the total of 2021 17 books read.
Of the 9 books 8 books were fantasy and 1 book was contemporary.
Out of the 28 days of February I read 11 days which amounted to a total of 3426 pages. My best reading day was the 26th with 577 pages.
The rating average of this month was 3,94.

personal 2021

⌘ As you might have noticed by the distinct lack of my presence on the blog, I am still taking a lot of time to recover. To try and get back some kind of energy that I have been missing. My normal blog schedule has gone of the rails but it is okay. Whenever I feel okay enough to do something is what matters and not when I post it.

⌘ My February consisted of a lot of sleeping which might be no surprise. It has been called by one of my thereapist a burn-out and I guess I’m just going to use that term so that others can understand better what I am going through.

⌘ We had actual snow in February. One full week of snow fun! I wish I’d had more energy for it but it was still fun. It has been a few years that we had this much snow. Merijn enjoyed it so much (as you can see on the photo) and was sad when it started melting. Hopefully next year again!

⌘ I’ve been drawing a lot of things and have been inspired by many other artists on instagram. I’ve been finding it hard to sell myself on instagram as just a shop so adding in all kinds of drawings feels more right to me. I’ll share some instagram feed pics below as I don’t have that much to show on the blog anyway haha.

⌘ In case anyone was wondering, Aiko is doing pretty well. There was a lot of talk whether or not her eye had to be taken out but it got so much better in 2 weeks time that when she had her checkup and surgery for the jaw, it didn’t need to be taken out. The roof of her mouth also healed completely. Unfortunately her lower jaw has healed but not together. So we are giving it another 5 weeks to see if it will still grow together. Otherwise we will stabilize it but she won’t be able to eat hard cat food anymore.

The Sword and the Scoob | Movie
The newest scooby-doo. I’m trying to stay on top of these because some of the previous movies are hard to find and I have to depend on Cartoon Network showing them. I watched it but was exhausted so I have to rewatch it in March.

Linked up 2021

This monthly wrap up will be linked up with the monthly one by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction. This so we can blog hop to each others wrap ups easier.

  1. Glad to hear Aiko is doing better! I’m sorry about your burn-out, take all the time you need and rest a lot and hope you’ll feel better soon. Also, your drawings are always the cutest! Hope you’ll have a great March.

  3. You have come so very far from telling me you used to draw, but you “weren’t very good at it.” I told you you were probably being your own worst critic. 🤗

I am so happy Aiko is healing better than expected. ❤

    Here’s to a bright March! 🌞
