Well it is the mid of October and at the start of this week it was my birthday. I turned 33 as you might have caught on. Because I was not doing so well in the months prior mentally I got a big as budget from my parents to buy books from. So yeah. Books

The Birtday Books
★ The Beholder (The Beholder 1) by Anna Bright
Firstly I bought these two second-hand from a Dutch fellow book blogger from my birthday budget. They are in great state.
★ River Marked (Mercy Thompson 6) by Patricia Briggs
★ Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson 7) by Patricia Briggs
★ The Brightest Fell (October Daye 11) by Seanan McGuire
I choose to spend some of the birthday budget on continuing with some longer series here.
You all know I am a fan of Intisar. I’ve read this one as an ebook but wanted a physical copy as well so here we are.
I’ve heard such good things about this one that I couldn’t resist buying it.
I got this beauty from my husband ❤
Of course this book had to be here. I always ask for it each October ❤
This was a little gift from my little man (that husband purchased)
★ A Deadly Education (Scholomance 1) by Naomi Novik = READ
Look at the pretties. Unfortunately since I read my arc of A Deadly Education I have been informed that there is racism in it that I missed as a white reviewer.
I got this from my friend ❤
★ Goddess in the Machine (Goddess in the Machine 1) by Lora Beth Johnson
★ Lobizona (Wolves of No World 1) by Romina Garber
I got these from my inlaws and sil. I am so happy. I’ve wanted to read these all since I’ve heard of them.
And lastly I got this next installment of this series from another friend ❤

I found this cheapish for hardcover prices and since I have been getting most of Alameda’s books I needed to have this beauty too.
★ De Diamant van Banarmasin by Arend van Dam
For this years children’s book week I took Merijn to the bookstore to pick out a book. And of course I picked up something for myself. The red book is the children’s book week gift.
I read a review copy of this book last year and it was a 5 star read that stayed with me. So when I saw it pass me by for a very decent hardcover price I had to order it.
I got this little book from the library as a thank you of my volunteering earlier this year.
One of my most anticipated reads of the year!

★ Kingdom of the Wicked (Kingdom of the Wicked 1) by Kerri Maniscalco
Release Date: October 27th 2020
★ Call of the Boneships (The Tide Child 2) by R.J. Barker
Release Date: November 24th 2020
★ Lava Red Feather Blue by Molly Ringle
Release Date: January 5th 2021
★ The Vela (The Vela 1) by Yoon Ha Lee, Becky Chabers, Rivers Solomon and SL Huang
ReRelease Date: August 3rd 2020

Happy birthday! You got some great books! I love the look of the covers for We Set the Dark on Fire and Memories of Ash. So pretty! Also, I hadn’t realized Seven Deadly Shadows had been released! For some reason I thought the publication date was later.

Honestly Seven Deadly Shadows has been flying so far under the radar. It released in January this year but I’ve only seen one other blogger talk about the book (which reminded me to look for it).

Wauw!
