Dancing out of August 2020

Heatwaves, birthdays, school and struggles. August was the end of Summer and the start of the school year in the district we are in. I’m glad Summer is over in that regard. Time to get back to the rhythm of daily life.

Reading Challenge(2)

⌘ August was a weird month. We went from a heatwave to needing to wear a jacket outside and lots of rain. Neither of which are that appealing to me for this time of year. The heat wave messed with me a lot and I didn’t really get the things done for the blog that I wanted. No concentration.

⌘ It was also the month started school on the 18th. It’s been a few hard weeks in that regard unfortunately. But I hope now that it will only get better.

⌘ He turned four on the 26th. My boy is getting so big!

⌘ I was meant to have a few psychology appts but my psychologist was sick right after her Summer vacation. So the start of September will be my first one in 2 months and that makes me anxious.

⌘ I also struggled near the end of the month. Man, there was so much going on with Merijn that I kind of slumped. So I haven’t really been around much. It’ s been a bit much. I hope I can get to the backlog of comments and bloghopping in September but I can’t really make any promises.

  1. Looks like August was a good reading month for you! I need to read Seven Devils before I have to return it to the library, but I can’t wait! Looks so good, and it seems like a lot of people are enjoying it. I’m so glad to see that you enjoyed Raybearer, too! One of my favorite reads this year.

I hope things settle down a bit with Merijn and school, but I saw that he’s four and awwww. Happy birthday to him (again)! I feel like, at this point, everyone is sort of just behind in everything. I for sure am. I feel like I need a week just to catch up lol. Thanks so much for sharing my post. ❤
