Book Haul

Book Haul 56 | Ten Physical Books Added to My Dreaded TBR

Well the book buying hasn’t gotten less though 5 of these were gifted to me. And I have read 5 of these already so go me. The whole covid period just has been weird and not having been able to go to the bookstores in a while has itched my buying phase I think

Reading Challenge(64)

So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo
This is the last book I ordered for the black publishing week in June, but it just came in a little later.

Unravel the Dusk (The Blood of Stars 2) by Elizabeth Lim = READ
I got an e-arc of this but also saw it in the store. I thought it was a good extra incentive to read the entire duology.
Girls of Storm and Shadow (Girls of Paper and Fire 2) by Natasha NGan = READ
I read an E-arc of this last year so when I saw a copy in the local store I could not pass it up.

The Book of Dragons. Edited by Jonathan Strahan
This was bloody expensive but look at the gorgeous that is the cover and the illustrations inside. Dragons I cannot resist.

A Winter’s Promise (The Mirror Visitor 1) by Christelle Dabos
This French besteller is finally being translated into Dutch.
Knock Three Times (Wizards of Once 3) by Cressida Cowell = READ
The third book was just translated to Dutch and here we are. I am a fan of these ridiculous middle grade books

Night and Silence (October Daye 12) by Seanan McGuire
I found this for 5 Euro in a sale so I bought it because I’ve been reading the series in ebook this year. So it seemed like a good idea.

Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust = READ
I’d seen this around on book twitter so when I saw it in the local book store I decided to pick it up.

The Sky Weaver(Iskari 3) by Kristen Ciccarelli
This is the Dutch edition of Iskari 3. I’ve been collecting these editions because of the gorgeous cover art and poster on the inside of the dust jacket. I hadn’t gotten around to grabbing a copy of the last one though until now.

Das Falsche Spiel der Meisterin (Duftapotheke 3) by Anna Ruhe =  READ
The dutch edition of this German middle grade series that I have really been enjoying.

  2. Great haul! I’ve been mostly buying ebooks since this whole covid thing started, though I’ve picked up a few physical books here and there, too. I’m really looking forward to Girl, Serpent, Thorn, even though I haven’t actually bought it yet.

  3. I’m so glad you were able to get The Book of Dragons, and OMG it looks so prettyyyy. ❤ I've heard a lot of really good things about Girl, Serpent, Thorn, too. I hope you enjoy it!

It looks like Challenger Deep is being re-released? I read it last year, I think. Hard to get through in some places because of how surreal and disjointed it gets at times, but so eye-opening for its schizophrenia rep!
