While I own a lot of books, on occasion I do like to make room for some library books. Not many since my reservations keep standing forever lately.
So for today’s topic for top ten tuesday (As always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) I am going to share some books I’d like to get from the library next.
Maar Je Ziet Er Helemaal Niet Autistisch Uit
A Dutch book first. The title refers to something a lot of people say to autistic people: but you don’t look autistic at all! The book is own voices and Bianca explains in this booklet what autism is. I still think I might also end up buying this for everyone in my environment lol.
Ned’s Circus of Marvels
I was browising some middle grade books and saw this book getting a low rating for being a….middle grade. That was written with middle grade as a target. Gross. So now I want to read it.
Ancillary Justice
I was able to find books 2 and 3 in Dutch cheap at the book market last Summer but did not find book 1 there. So I can take it out of the library if I want to start reading.
Wintertide and Percepliquis
So I can finish the series
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Hyde
This is the newest Dutch release of this book and it is super pretty. I want to try it out before considering buying it because Robert Luis Stevenson and I have not gotten along so far yet.
Oh, I really liked Ned’s Circus of Marvels! I’m not the target audience either and I found it really good. The second book is great as well, only the third book disappointed me a little. But it’s a good book. I can recommend. 🙂

I really need to read books by Ann Leckie, I keep meaning to but haven’t yet. Any particular books you recommend I start with?

Great list! I’ve been really enjoying making the most of my library this year, so I can’t wait until everything’s up and running again. Ancillary Justice is a sci-fi I’d really like to try!

Since I’ve only been reading children’s books for the past few weeks, Ned’s Circus of Marvels is not out of the question for me.

I hope you get your holds soon! It’s taking forever for mine too. Most of them say months! One even says 6 months!! So crazy!

Ooh yeah I think Ned’s Circus of Marvels definitely looks fun! And Wintertide- that cover has me curious! Kinda reminded me of Winterfell from Game of Thrones maybe. Although it’s probably very different, but I do like the cover anyway. 🙂

Ooh I haven’t heard of those Michael J. Sullivan books before. I’ve only read one of his series though 😂 Ned’s Circus of Marvels looks like it’ll be such a fun read 😀 Hope you enjoy all of these!

I’m missing my local library right now. I’m glad that I can get some books online as ebooks from them at least.

Hope you’ll enjoy all these reads! Maar Je Ziet Er Helemaal Niet Autistisch Uit seems like a book that should be mandatory reading.
