5 Characters (or Groups) I’d Follow on Social Media // #toptentuesday 226

Sometimes you come across certain characters in books,  and you just know they would have been a hoot to have known in real life. Especially on all kinds of different social media’s. So for this week’s top ten tuesday (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) we are talking about characters you would for sure follow on social media.

Howl and/or Calcifer
Where: Twitter / Instagram (stories)
Book: Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
Howl would love to complain about the rigid cleaning ways of Sophie and Calcifer would want to complain about Howl. It would be rather entertaining to see them continue their bickering on social media.

Death
Where: Twitter
Book: Discworld by Terry Pratchett
Death would want to try out this thing that entertains so many humans and be genuinely baffled by it. Then continue to use it because, you know, why not?

Liesel and Max
Where: Instagram and Deviantart
Book: The Book Thief by Mark Zusak
I can totally see Liesel convince Max to share his art online and I would love to see it.

Lockwood & Co.
Where: Youtube
Books: Lockwood & Co. by Jonathan Stroud
Youtube is a great way to explain how to catch ghosts AND gain popularity that will get them more jobs. And it would be a real hoot to watch.

The Secret Account on Simon and Meg
Where: Twitter / Vlogs on Youtube
Books: The Others by Anne Bishop

Let us be real, there are going to be some Crowgard who would be happy to let the whole world know how the relationship between Simon and Meg progresses… And I mean I do want to know…

  1. Yes, I bet Death and Howl would be great fun to follow on Twitter! It’s fun to imagine what other Discworld character would make of social media too. I can easily see Magrat on Pinterest and Nanny Ogg on Instagram!
