best of the bunch

Best of the Bunch // 2019

For a year I have been participating in the Best of the Bunch monthly meme and I thought it would be interesting to look back on what I again picked as my favorites each month and what kind of stats I had for them.

Best of the Bunch is a monthly meme created by Jessica at a Coccoon of Books.

Statistics

Just for the 12 Best of the Bunches

As you can see 2017 is suprisingly winning in the release date category within the 12 best of the bunches. I find that quite interesting. I did read some first books thatcame out in 2017 and had sequels coming out in 2019. As for target groups it is clear that I am very much adult minded at the moment.

Out of the 12 books I picked as best of the bunches 10 were 5 star reads, 1 was 4,5 and 1 was a 4 star. I think that is a pretty great result rating wise seeing as I don’t rate 5 stars that quickly. Also one of them was a reread.

For all the Favorites of the past 12 Best of the Bunches

For all the 39 books I mentioned in the best of the bunch in 2019 most of them were released in 2019. But again, 2017 was apparently also a great year. Interestingly there was no 2018 release in the best of the bunch picks but there was still a nice amount in the overall picks. Adult books were the most mentioned but that doesn’t come as a suprise. 2019 was the year of adult books for me.

Overal I rated 17 books out of 39 5 stars! That is a really great amount for me and I clearly read a lot of great books. 6 Books were 4,5 stars and 16 books were rated 4 stars. Nothing lower. I also had 2 rereads in these totals.

While not a favorite in the sense as above this book does mean something to me as it made me realize that, yes, I am asexual.
