I was wondering for a while whether or not the hosts of 2019’s YARC would have another go at this reading challenge so I was pleased to see on January 2nd that yes they would be hosting it for another year.
What is it about?
The Year of the Asian Reading Challenge is all about reading books by Asian authors. It is hosted by CW from The Quiet Pond, Lily from Sprinkles and Dreams, Shealea from Shut Up Shealea and Vicky from Vicky Who Reads. There will be monthly prompts but you don’t have to use them if you don’t want to. You can read more about all the details here.
Challenge Level
Last year I went for level 1 and I ended up getting level 3. So this year I am going to go for level 3 which is 21 to 30 books read. We’ll see how far I’ll be getting this year. I hope far, haha. I will be updating my progress in my monthly wrap ups every few months.
TBR
These are suggestions for my tbr of books, most I own. Last year I read most of the books I put on this suggested tbr list so here is hoping for another check mark.
Good luck with the challenge! I hope you enjoy your picks. I really enjoyed Spin the Dawn. I’m anxiously awaiting the second book.

I really need to start Spin the Dawn. I’ve heard mostly good things about that one.

Good luck! I’ve been thinking about joining this challenge – I do own many books written by Asian authors. I hope you love Spin the Dawn and The Bone Witch as much as I did.
Happy readings!
