Sometimes random things come into your head and will not let you go. Like after my birthday book haul I wondered how much of those in the past I had read (which will be coming next year) and later on I realized I could do the same thing to Christmas hauls since I do end up getting a decent amount of books then too.
Sometimes it is just good to look at what you haul and what of those you actually read. Sometimes it just has to do with mood or a change in taste. Or just because you have so many books to read you can’t possibly read them all in a year. It happens to the best of us.

This is a pretty decent percentage here. The only one I’ve not read is the one from a Dutch author that is likely going to get unhauled in 2020 (though it is signed). I still haven’t had the interest to pick it up and at some point you gotta let go.

Here it is more a case of I just haven’t had the time yet for these books because everything else has been so enticing.

I’ve been a little put off by Brandon Sanderson as of late because I’ve heard he isn’t always the greatest person. I still want to try The Way of Kings but we shall see.

A 100%. Would you believe that? And of the last Christmas haul too. I am mighty proud haha.
I’d rather not take a look back at my birthday and holiday hauls as I already know there are several I never had a chance to read. Though in my defence – it wasn’t just due to migraines and major life upsets that took me away from the stories themselves but major natural disaster epic storms and several power outages and a lot of personal adversities over the years… strangely, I’m as excited to read them once I sort out where I put them? (most of my personal library as a book blogger has been stored in boxes…) Good point though – to keep or unhaul. I rather unhaul. I’m such a mood reader at times as I like to read certain stories at certain times and other moments, I find myself randomly tucking into a book and curious why it took me so long to be reading it? Quirky. I’m definitely quirky!

Ah but there is nothing wrong with quirky. I quite like quirky 😉

Cool post idea. It made me check my TBR spreadsheet. I have 2 unread books from December 2018. That’s it. I’ve read all the others. I hope you have a great Christmas and get lots of books!

Random ideas always end up being the best ideas. 🙂 I don’t actually receive books on Christmas (I also don’t buy books for myself on Christmas), so this is something I don’t have to worry about. =P
Hope you have a great Christmas!!!

You did great with the 2018 books! 💯
I usually only get one or two books for my birthday, Mother’s Day, and Chistmas, so it’s really easy for me to read at 100%. Ha ha. 🎁

Less overwhelming. I didn’t get anything this year so it will be 100% for me with 2019 😀

I didn’t get any books either. Twinning. Ha ha. 😁

I have a problem in general reading books I know I want to read once I own them. The library and review copy books demand reading, whereas my horded treasures can wait….

Yes I feel this so much. They always go to the top and then my own books just kind of fall behind again.
