Thursday is Thanksgiving Day and as such Top Ten Tuesday (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) is giving us a thankful freebie this week. I have absolutely nothing with Thanksgiving as I am Dutch and we don’t celebrate a day like that.
Regardless I did have an idea over the Summer that I thought would be fun to use for this. There is often a lot of talk and questions with bloggers and bookish Twitter about which books and/or authors we associate with them. So I though I’d share this today for a few of my favorite people and bloggers. Because I am thankful they are in my life one way or another.
It was hard for some people so please don’t be sad if I didn’t add you to this list ❤
All of the graphics in this list are the headers of the blogs of the bloggers I am mentioning.
>> When it comes to my blogging buddy LaLa I think of Alice Hoffmann (because I am not doing the obvious Harry Potter). Alice Hoffmann is one of those authors that LaLa tries to read all the books off and I know she has enjoyed most of them.
>> With Liesbet from Zwartraafje I could of course go the obvious route of Harry Potter as well because obsessed is only a small word to describe her (and I mean that with all the love). However I dediced on The Others series by Anne Bishop because I think that is the series we both really bonded on and what always reminds me of her.
>> One of the series that Aimal talks about A LOT is The Daevabad trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty. And yes I will try to read it soon before you shove my face in…
>> Of Wonderland is run by a few lovely ladies that I have the fortune of knowing, well most of them (sorry Wren, I like you too but we don’t know each other). And you know who recommend me too many books. Like Aly who was over the moon when I bought one of The Witcher books. With Inge I associate First Year by Rachel E Carter the most because she gave me a free ebook for it once, way back when we barely knew each other. And of course Ely and I share our love of Nevermoor.
>> I associate a lot of things with Imyril. Wyrd & Wonder, Sci-Fi Month, Boots in front of a shelf… But when it comes to specific books The Winnowing Flame Readalong that was started during Wyrd & Wonder 2019 the very most.
>> If you know Lindsey only a little you will know what author I am putting here. It starts with an A and ends with nnette Marie.
>> Jolien got me into blogging so I associate a few things with her. Of course there is the Red Sister trilogy. But I also think of her when it comes to Michael J. Sullivan’s books and The Bone Witch.
>> Avery was one of the few people that shouted about Kaia Sønderby who was on my sci-fi month tbr this year.
>> There are a few books that I associate with lovely Alicia but most of all I think of her with The Trail of Lightning, Nocturna and Sorcerer to the Crown. Oh and Courtney Alameda too. Seriously too many books she throws on my tbr constantly.
>> CW promotes a lot of books but the one I associate with them the strongest would be Jade City by Fonda Lee.
>> Sammie likes to shout about books as much as I do. And she shouts about Scythe a lot.
This is such a cool topic! You should suggest it for everyone!

Thanks for the shout out! 😊
I never knew who got you started with blogging, so that was a good tidbit to find out. 🙌🙌🙌
Besides the obvious Jonathon Stroud and Terry Pratchett; I’d say I think of Robin Hobb when I think of you. I started reading the Rain Wild books because of you. 👍✨

This is such a fun idea! Yep, I think it’s CW who’s made me want to read Jade City even more, too. 😀

This was such a fun list! I hadn’t even thought of this but I do connect some bloggers with specific books, mostly when a blogger recommending a book that I ended up loving. In my TTT I did something similar talking about bloggers I’m thankful to for something. 😋

Yes, they just get connected to that book or author or series and you can never remove them haha.

Cool topic! I know most of these bloggers. La La reminds me of Harry Potter for sure. There’s so much Potter on that blog.

I do know some of these bloggers (mostly from Top Ten Tuesday). It is weird because some people you do associate with some book series. Great choice of topic today.

It just randomly happens like that.

Really? That’s kind of Riddikulus. I think there’s something siriusly wrong with you if you think I’m obsessing over Harry Potter. 😉
