It is sci-fi month so you can’t honestly be expecting me to start talking about my favorite book marks for top ten tuesday, can you? I have plenty so I couldn’t even choose 10. Ha!
Instead I am sharing with you some of my favorite reads since sci-fi month last year that are sci-fi or have sci-fi elements to them. While I do love sci-fi I really don’t read as many as I’d like to. Fantasy remains my go to but science-fiction still has so much to offer as well and these below are the ones that really got me in the past year.
Adult
All Systems Red & Artificial ConditionΒ & Rogue Protocol (The Murderbot Diaries 1-3) by Martha Wells
The Outside by Ada Hoffmann
Warp Gate Concerto by Dorian Graves
To Be Taught If Fortunate by Becky Chambers
Young Adult
Revenger & Shadow Captain (Revenger 1-2) by Alastair Reynolds
The Fever King (Feverwake 1) by Victoria Lee
Stronger Than a Bronze Dragon by Mary Fan
YES YES YES to Becky Chambers β€ I'm keen to try Fever King as well as it's been sitting on my shelf for a while now! Jen

The Murderbot Diaries are so much fun and The Fever King is one of my favorite YA reads of the year.

I don’t read very much sci fi. I tend to gravitate more towards fantasy or paranormal, but I do occasionally read sci fi. It is good to stretch the reading boundaries sometimes! Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

I haven’t read any of these but I’ve had Fever King on my TBR for a while and I feel like I really need to get on it! I’ve been reading the Webtoons for the book though and it’s pretty amazing π Great TTT!

Yes please read it. It is so good. I read the first chapter of the webtoon but I suck at checking back every week haha so I’ll probably just binge it at some point.

I have Alastair Reynolds on my TBR for next year. Have you read his Revelation Space series? I am planning to start with that, since I own a copy.

No I haven’t. These are the only ones I’ve read of him so far but I do want to get into the backlist of his work.

My TBR whined and cried and had a tantrum, but I clicked this link anyway, despite my better judgment. xD What have I done?! But you always have the best book recommendations, so I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these. π

I mean, of course, but if we just went around telling people that, it wouldn’t be much of a secret, now would it? π

I want to read the Murderbot books so much, but Hoopla doesn’t have them and I refuse to pay the same ebook price as a full novel for a novella. π I have them on my Kindle list, but only the third one went on sale, so that’s the only one I have. π

Yeah I totally understand that. I hope they come up on a sale soonish.
