Things I Eat and Drink While I Read or Blog / #toptentuesday 205

Some of us like to eat and drink when reading. Others to only drink or nothing at all. It is great that we all differ and can enjoy reading in our own way. For me, I cannot go without something to eat or drink.

When I read, or even when I blog, is when I get some me time and can finally snack on those things I don’t want to share with toddler per se. Ha, I must keep some of the good things to myself. And often I spend a few hours in one go reading, especially on grandpa days. If I wouldn’t get to eat during reading or blogging I might forget it all together.

So today I share with you some of the things that I enjoy eating or drinking when I read or blog for Top Ten Tuesday (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl).

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”(1)

Tea

I do not drink coffee at all. However I love me some tea. I’ll be honest and say that I don’t try out a lot of things and I don’t like a lot of things. I don’t steep my tea for too long otherwise the taste is too strong. But I do like the flavors of vanilla, apple, cinnamon and caramal. Preferably in some combination.

Hot Chocolate Milk

This is a mostly winter drink for me and I often use the powder variant as that is just easier to whip up quickly. But hot chocolate is my favorite drink.

Blue Bastard Energy Drink

Don’t judge me. I just really like the taste of this and since I won’t allow myself to have hot chocolate the whole year round this is something I treat myself with. A lot.

“Eating and reading are two pleasures that combine admirably.”

Cheese Cubes

Cheese! I love cheese. I love having a plate of cheese to snack from.

Crisps

I currently have a crisp addiction. I am not even sorry.

Chocolate

Chocolate is my best friend at times. Especially Milka with the oreo flavor.

Winegums

And lastly we all love ourselves some winegums from Red Band here.

  1. Good choices! I always have a coffee when I’m blogging, and now I’ve gone dairy-free my fav snack is PB celery boats (essentially just eating PB straight out of the jar, but the celery makes me feel like it’s an actual snack haha)

      1. Maybe it’s a regional thing. It’s just peanut butter on celery (the log) with raisins (ants) across the top. It’s like a snack for kids.

I did once go to a fancy piano bar that had it on its appetizer menu though. We almost ordered it for the joke, but of course at that place it was way overpriced.

  2. Ooh yes, how can I forget cheese cubes!? Or just cheese in general!? I love nibbling on a bit of cheese while reading 🤤 I’m mostly a coffee girl but I do love a good cup of tea while reading (eaten with some custard creams yummo)… omg I’m making myself so hungry! Haha Great TTT 😍

  4. I have no idea what winegums are! 🤔

Believe it or not a lot of the time I eat fruit: pears, cara cara oranges, and red seedless grapes; and drink water. 😇 I do still like coffee and a variety of cookies… and chocolate (Reeses Peanut Butter Cups), but not all that often. 🍐🍊🍇
