top ten tuesday

Books I’ve Read That I’d Like in My Personal Library / #toptentuesday 203

If there is one thing I have plenty of that is books. Yet it is never enough. I have a large amount of to be read books on my shelves but I also read ebooks, e arcs and books from the library. Not everything I read are books I physically own. And that isn’t always nessecary of course.

However sometimes I will have read a book from the library or an ebook/e arc that I would still love to add to my collection because I really did like it that much. Or I loved it as was the case with some of them. I can’t quite afford to buy everything I’ve already read but sometimes I do make exceptions. This does go slowly over time however.

So for today’s top ten tuesday post (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) we are talking about books we read we would like to add to our personal library. This was actually the topic I submitted, yeay!

Library

Tilly and the Book Wanderers by Anna James

Even though I had a problem with one thing, the rest of this book is just so cute and a great middle grade read. I really want it on my shelves to share with Merijn in the future.

E Arcs

The Fever King by Victoria Lee

This one hit so hard and has a stunning cover.

In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire

I have the other 3 so I really need to pick this up at some point

Witchmark by C.L. Polk

I love the cover and I really liked the book too.

Bones & Bourbon by Dorian Graves

Another great read I just need to have on my shelves.

Stronger Than a Bronze Dragon by Mary Fan

A great fantasy standalone? Yes please that needs to be one my shelves.

Where the Stars Rise. Edited by Lucas K. Law and Derwin Mak

I love this anthology so much but my gosh are the paperback and hardcovers so expensive. Otherwise I’d already bought it.

Ebooks

Revenger and Shadow Captain by Alastair Reynolds

Technically Shadow Captain was a e arc but the first was just an ebook. I just really liked this and I need more sci-fi on my shelves.

Memories of Ash by Intisar Khanani

Last year I won a signed copy from Intisar of the first book so I just need the physical copy to add to my collection.

  1. Great list. One thing I like about getting earcs, or even physical arcs – is that I can read them first and decide if I want the finished copy enough. There are many times I just have to bite the bullet and get them.

Tilly is also a beautiful book in hardcover – under the dustjacket is so pretty!

  3. I loved this topic, even though I don’t really benefit from owning physical books, since I am blind. I hfve to get to read Fever King too.

By the way, it’s good to meet another Dutch blogger who primarily writes in English. My blog isn’t exclusively a book blog, but I definitely developed an interest in reading English-language books since I started blogging many years ago.
