For the most part I am rather active on Goodreads. I add the books I read, I do the reading challenge, I am in some of the groups. And of course I keep track of the books I want to read. Now these are the books I don’t own. I have a seperate shelf for those. No these are the ones that have recently caught my eye. As it is a topic for top ten tuesday (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) this week, why not look at what I recently added on there.
Well what is recent as I am writing this on the 8th. I decided against adding in sequels to books I’ve read and just go for standalones or first in a series.
The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh / YA Historical Fantasy / To Be Released
Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sim / YA Fantasy Retelling / To Be Released
The Deal of a Lifetime by Frederik Backman / Contemporary Christmas
NOS4A2 by Joe Hill / Horror
Color Outside the Lines. Edited by Sangu Mandanna / Anthology / To Be Released
Good Mourning by Elizabeth Meyer / Memoir
Damn, Honey by Marie Lotte Hagen and Lydia van Voorthuizen / Non-fiction Feminism
Echo by Thomas Olde Heuvelt / Horror / To Be Released
Mis(h)adra by Iasmin Omar Ata / Graphic Novel
Three Parts Dead by Max Gladstone / Urban Fantasy
The Beautiful looks like something I need to check out. I’ve already seen that one on another list as well, so it’s gonna be buzz worthy I imagine. Also Three Parts Dead looks like a good urban fantasy too.

I can’t believe I’ve not heard of Echo. Although I still need to read Hex, I will need that one as well. Thanks for sharing it and the rest of your list.

Welcome. 😀 I think he announced at the end of the year or start of this year. It wasn’t that long ago anyway.

I am really exited in general to see another book my Renee Ahdieh, but hearing the premise for The Beautiful has me even more stoked. Hope you enjoy all these books on your TBR!

I put Color Outside the Lines on my TBR as soon as I heard Eric Smith first talk about it on Twitter. I’m not sure about The Beautiful though. I like Renée Ahdieh, but I don’t know if I want to read a vampire book. I guess I have a while to make up my mind.

Yes same!
Vampires aren’t my biggest draw but I am curious how she is going to approach this.
