Trying to Be an Elemental Witch – 2019 Retellings Reading Challenge

Retellings Reading Challenge

Very, very last minute I decided to participate in the retellings reading challenge hosted by Tracy over on Cornerfolds. I went back and forth for a while but then I realized I had more retellings still on my shelves, seeing as any retellings count.

As you might guess this challenge is to challenge you to read some more retellings. They can be fairytales, mythology, history or classics that they are retelling. There are 5 levels and I am going for the 3rd level which is Elemental Witch. This is to read 10-15 retellings. I think I can manage that for sure.

Some possible reads

The Surface Breaks / Splintered / And I Darken / Wintersong / Dorothy Must Die / Stealing Snow / Wonder Woman: Warbringer / De Stem van de Zee

Tracy also created a bingo card which makes me very happy.

Do you like to read retellings?

  1. I don’t think i’ve read many retellings. The one that comes to mind is The Winters which was based on Rebecca by Daphne de Murier.
Potentially the Bear and the Nightingale?
But these prompts sound interesting so gonna do a little investigation 😀
