Wow it is already December 11th and we are heading towards the end of the year. Now seems like a good time to use top ten tuesday’s freebie (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) and look a little back to the year already. So for today I am sharing some of my favorite 2018 releases I read.
So let us just jump right on in.
Foundryside (Founders 1) by Robert Jackson Bennett / Review
Witchmark (The Kingston Cycle 1) by C.L. Polk / Review
Bones and Bourbon by Dorian Graves / Review
Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik / Review
Record of a Spaceborn Few (Wayfarers 3) by Becky Chambers / Review
The Burning Maze (The Trials of Apollo 3) by Rick Riordan / Review
Lake Silence (The Others 6) by Anne Bishop / Review
Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli
Bright Ruin (Dark Gifts 3) by Vic James / Review
Chainbreaker (Timekeeper 2) by Tara Sim / Review
What was your favorite 2018 release you read?
I still need to read Spinning Silver, Uprooted is one of my favorite books ever so I have high expectations haha. Leah was an enjoyable read as well 🙂 One of my absolute favs that hardly anyone talks about is The Exact Opposite of Okay

Great list! I’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed Spinning Silver and Foundryside, they’re both books I’d like to cross off my TBR soon, and I’m looking forward to reading Record of a Spaceborn Few, too. It looks like 2018 has been a really good reading year for you!

I can’t believe I still haven’t bought (or read) Lake Silence! It’s one of my favorite series… Same for Record of a Spaceborn few. I did love Leah on the Offbeat too 🙂

Noooo, read it. It is very different from Meg and Simon but I still really liked it.

I’m so behind The Others series. I can’t believe how many books I’ve to read to catch up, since it’s one of my favourite book series. I love the world created by Anne Bishop.
Happy readings! 😉

Foundryside is going to make my list too! I feel like it was a fantastic year for books, and there are several on your list I’d live to read.

I haven’t compiled a favourites list yet but From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata popped straight into my head so that’s definitely one of them! 🙂

I figured since I’m not reading anymore 2018 releases this year I could make this list. 😉

I basically devoured every Stephen King book released in 2018 but The Outsider was most definitely my favorite. I enjoyed your TTT prompt a lot!

That is great to hear. I have a few by him on my shelves still to read.

What are those? I have seriously considered just reading Stephen King for a year so I can read all his books. But then I think about all the new releases and authors I have yet to discover and can’t do it. 🙂

Haha it would make an awesome reading challenge though. I have Under the Dome, The Gunslinger and a collection of short stories called Four Seasons ( which I mainly have for the short story that the movie Stand by Me was based on).

The Dork Tower series is so good and unlike anything else he has written. 🙂

I loved Leah, too! It was such a great book. I actually enjoyed it more than Simon.

I LOVED Chainbreaker-though I read it last year. The Burning Maze, I actually found a bit of a let down, I was so looking forward to it, but it wasn’t as amazing as I expected.

I can’t wait for firestarter. ❤
I had that with the second book. I found that one a bit of a letdown. But I have high hopes for book 4 since he is taking a bit more time with it this time around. 🙂

Yeah hopefully-I think the two book schedule he was on with Magnus Chase and TOA was making TOA suffer a little, so hopefully the fourth book will be better!

Cool post idea! I think Vengeful is my favorite 2018 release. I didn’t read very many of them. I still need to get to Leah on the Offbeat.

Thanks. I read a surprising amount of 2018 releases. I hope you’ll like Leah!

Wow! I haven’t read any of those books this year! I’ll probably do my top 10 2018 releases at the beginning of January. There’s still a chance for a book to change my mind!
My favorite 2018 release I read this year was Wildcard.

I haven’t read a single one of your list, yikes!! They All look so interesting though so I really need to look into them a bit further. My favorite 2018 release? That has to be Kingdom of Ash and Queen of Air and Darkness, hands down ❤

So many books, so little time.
Haha no surprise. 😉

I still haven’t read Record of a Spaceborn Few even though it was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I preordered it! So terrible. Some of my fave 2018 releases have been: The Descent of Monsters, Circe, The Belles and Obsidio!

I do that all the time haha. Oh I don’t think I’ve heard of The Descent of Monsters yet. I’ll have to look it up.

Spaceborn Few! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Right off the top of my head Rust & Stardust was probably my favorite. 👍✨
Witchmark is not on Kindle Unlimited and neither Hoopla, nor Overdrive, has it, so I put it on my Amazon Kindle wishlist and hope to catch it if it goes on sale. Did you see there is a sequel coming out in February? 📚

I hope it will go on sale. It deserves more attention than it has been getting. I did see it. That is the one that I talked about that had someone 1 star review it because it has ff pairing. >.<

I still need to finish Foundryside, although at this point I will have to start at the beginning I think. Great list! I think my faces are Contagion by Erin Bowman and Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody.

Ah yeah that is probably a save bet since there is so much details in there in places.
I still want to read Contagion at some point. 🙂
