TTT #152 – Ten Releases I Am Looking Forward to for the Last Four Months of 2018

We’re hitting Tuesday again with another Top Ten Tuesday (as always hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl). While I really try to stick to the topic at hand some way or another, this time the topic really wasn’t that appealing to me. So instead I am sharing some releases I am still looking forward to in the last 4 months. I did one for the full year at the end of last year but many for the second half of the year I hadn’t heard of then. So I figured it was good to make a new list.

I also want to look and see which releases of the first half of the year I got and have read. Because for some reason I thought that might be interesting. So from January to June I listed 19 releases I was looking forward to. Of that list I bought 13 (well I had the new Becky Chambers on there for June but that has become July, even so I’ve pre ordered it). And I read 8. Which isn’t quite as bad as I thought it was going to be haha. I also think I’ve show a bit of restraint with buying new releases. I mean, I could have bought them all. How do you usually fare with these types of lists looking back?

Moving on…

Reading Challenge(65)

I have nothing in December. I find that interesting. Are there any releases in November or December you are looking forward to you think I might be interested as well? Not that I need more added to my tbr list on Goodreads…

  1. Not Even Bones looks so creepy and fun. And I’m really curious about City of Broken Magic too. Just that title… 9 From Nine Worlds looks cool, too, and I missed that one at first, until I took a closer look.

Even though I don’t request ARC’s I really need to get on Netgalley and see what’s coming later this year…

  2. I am SO out of touch with new releases! I haven’t heard of any of these but they look fab! The only release I’ve been looking forward to this year is Suicide Club which I believe is already out now – AND I STILL HAVEN’T READ IT.

    1. That they do. I think that is out yeah. It is hard to stay on top with the releases though. I have so many I was looking forward to but have not even read 50% haha.

    1. Haha. I’m trying to look ahead a little so I have a list of 2019 releases (otherwise I’m going to forget them all between now and their release haha). But December is always a bit of a tricky release month I guess. I still have to read the second book of that series!

  3. Absolutely LOVED The Girl in the Tower!! I’m so excited for Winter of the Witch. I just found out about the book she has coming out in September, Spall Spaces; hopefully I’ll like it as much as the Winternight series.

  4. I finally finished the Shades of Magic series so yes, give me more from that whole world! I’m excited for the graphic novel. I’m also very much excited for Not Even Bones, The Lady’s Guide, and Dark Descent. I don’t know that I have a lot of books on my November/December list either. Hmmm…I think a lot of books come out in October!

  5. I never pay attention to future releases, so this is super fun for me! I find that I have too many “old” books I need to get through first! XD

From this list, I’m excited to read the Montague Siblings duology once book 2 is released. Plus, I hope to finish Winternight this year. We’ll see if that happens. O_o Too many books and far too little time.

    1. Oh I have that too. Just too many books all around. to read. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ll have to wait on book 3 being translated again so probably next year somewhere but that is okay. I try and support the Dutch publishers on occasion. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. As you should!! Sometimes, I worry that smaller publishing houses are being shut out by some of the larger British and American publishing houses as so many people speak English. Keep fighting the good fight!

  6. Oooh I like this list. The Ladies Guide to Piracy looks fantastic, but I have to read book one first. =/ I’m dying to read The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein, too!

  7. I try not to do those lists about upcoming releases because it always ends up making feel terrible when i inevitably only read a few of them, haha. Though I find I have been reading books that I was generally looking forward to because I’ve been lucky enough to receive review copies. But that means it’s not so much me reading them because of excitement but because of my need to read and review them as close to publication date, haha.

I am definitely keen for Lady’s Guide! I have a review copy that I hope to get to soon ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope I love it as much as Gentleman’s Guide *crosses fingers*

I don’t really know of any December releases! :O

    1. Haha. I understand that. I don’t always end up reading a bunch of them. Sometimes interests shifts or turns out it isn’t for me. But I still like listing them too much haha.

I hope you will love it!

  8. I didn’t know there were more Shades of Magic world books happening. I still need to read two and three. ๐Ÿ˜

I was going to say The Winter Witch, Winternight three, but I see that doesn’t publish until January. โ˜บ

    1. Haha it is a graphic novel. I didn’t realize until recently either though. Read them! I’m very curious to see what you think of book 2 and 3.

Oh the date has been pushed back? That is a shame.
