Awhile ago I saw this tag pass me by on Dragon & Zombies. As a fantasy reader I could obviously not pass up doing this tag. Especially not as this month is Wyrd and Wonder, the fantasy month. I went with what came to mind first. I mean if I read certain books closer to doing this tag I think there would be a lot of answers added.
A fictional world that you would like to tour
It might come as no surprise that I would like to tour Discworld (Discworld series by Terry Pratchett). There is just so much there that I want to see with my own eyes. But I would also like to visit the Realm of Elderlings from Robin Hobb books. The Rain Wilds just sound like an amazing sight with those ruins for instance.
A specific place that you would like to visit
Hogwarts of course. I don’t think I am the only one who would love to roam the grounds of that castle with the moving staircases, the common rooms, Hagrid’s hut, and so on. But I would also love to visit the Wayfarer from The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. I think being able to see an epic spaceship would be great.
I would also love to visit Lakeside from The Others by Anne Bishop. It would be very interesting to see the actual bookstore, the lake and so on and see the interactions between the humans and the others.
And lastly I’d love to visit the ruins of the Citadel of The Copper Promise by Jen Williams.
A character that you would like to meet
The Whispering Skull from Lockwood & Co. by Jonathan Stroud hands down. But also Bartimaeus from the same named series by Jonathan Stroud. I love their wit and sarcasm and both would be quite the sight.
An event you would like to witness
I would love to see the quickening of a liveship. That would have to be such a sight. But also the awakening of a dragon. And what about traveling in time with a ship like in The Girl from Everywhere. That moment would be amazing to witness as well.
A sport/activity you would like to try
While I don’t really get chess (though I never really put in the effort) I would love to try wizard chess. It sounds so much more exciting. I would also love to try divination and see if I could manage some of it. That would be so cool. But most of all I think it would be amazing to go cloud surfing like in Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho.
A weapon you would like to wield
I am not one for weapons but trying out a rapier as in Lockwood & Co. would be kind of cool to have to go against the ghosts. Not that I could see much, being an adult and all that…
An item you would like to use
Time turner! Need to have so much more time in the day, week, month and year to read. I could be in two places at once. One where I took care of Merijn and the other where I would just read haha.
This is such a fun tag!
I woud love to use a Time Turner. I would use it to make more time for reading.. 😂

Right? Like we need at least 12 more hours just for reading.

This is a neat tag; I like how it highlights many of the ‘different’ experiences you can have in fantasy worlds. Time turner is a great answer for that last one…I’m sure we could all use one of those!! 😛
