Dancing out of March 2018

Happy Easter! Man, April is already here. I thought March was an okay month overal. The weather went from snow to very sunny weather where you saw people walking around without their coats on. I had some anxiety. Reading wise I seem to still be on a roll though I did also read some graphic novels.

How Was March for Me?

20180319_165140
19 Months Already

⌘ March started of with cold for me which ended up in me losing my voice again in the first full week of the month. I also felt quite stuffy and had some pain on my chest.

⌘ We did still got to my parents from the 9th to the 11th, despite me not feeling so hot. I went to bed early every night. I’m a terrible guest lol. But I got new bra’s (bra shopping is the evil) and hubby and I got some alone time so that is good. There was also too much food.

⌘ I hit 700 WP followers at the start of the month. Thank you so much. ❤

⌘ I had various appointments throughout the month with some friends and people I hadn’t seen in a while. This month I was able to keep most of them. 😀

⌘ There was also finally the gyneacologist appt. Nothing was wrong inside that could be seen. Yeay. But I had a bunch of anxiety about it. Vaginism sucks.

⌘ Merijn was a bit on and off at the start of the month. He did well with words at the end of February but this month he seems to have tossed them all out of the window with the exception of a few? He is continuing to climb a mighty lot. And he can eat his yoghurt on his own with his spoon. Well I have to help him with the last bits obviously but he refused for the longest time to eat with utensils and then couldn’t figure it out so for him to start doing this within a week was quite great.

⌘ Looking back on the blog and the time I spend on actual articles I sometimes amaze myself with how much I actually managed to get out. Normally I do a lot of blogging on Wednesday and Saturday night but I let go of a few of those this month because I was so tired a few times. Scheduling ahead is pretty great.

⌘ I somehow managed to forget to take my meds for two days nearing the end of March. I’m still not sure how I managed to do that but suffice to say that on the morning of the third day when I did take my meds again I was having a very bad day. It went better as the day went along but I’m glad hubby was home in the morning so help with Merijn a bit.

⌘ I’m writing this on March 31st and husband has his birthday today. But he has to work during most of it. Tonight however we are going to play with one of his gifts, haha. I already knows what I arranged for him to be getting from my parents which is a thunderbirds monopoly. As it is also Easter tomorrow we will celebrate his birthday another weekend.

What Did I Watch?

Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card / Anime / Ep 3 – 10
I still really enjoy this. ❤

X-Files Exenstials Collection / Season 3 – Ep 20 / Season 3 – Ep 2 / Stopped Watching
As I started to lose interest this month I skipped one and then another and realized I am just going to stop watching this. I’m just bored? I’ve seen a lot of these story lines been done better #sorrynotsorry

Under the Dome / Season 3 / Ep 5-7
I’m still kind of struggling with keeping my attention there. Series like these are just best binge watched.

The Magicians / Season 3 / Ep 4 – 6
I didn’t realize they were already showing this in The Netherlands so I missed the first three. ._.

What Is Up Next Month?

⌘ For April I want to focus on sequels a little. I have been slacking a bit on my goal to finish some series. And I’ve started some series but not continued them so I figure I should focus on those a little. But I also have some review copies I need to get to so we’ll see where I get.

⌘ As for April on a personal level I hope to focus a little more on healthier eating after Easter and the celebration of Maarten’s birthday. I’ve been saying that for a while though.

⌘ My parents will also come for a few days in this month so  that will be busy. Otherwise I hope this month will slow down a little and I hope that the weather will turn out quite a bit better than what they seem to be thinking.

  1. Yay for sunshine! I’m still waiting for spring to arrive here, but it’s getting closer. Nice to see that Norse Mythology and Lake Silence were both good reads- I want to get to both of those. Cute pic of Merijn, looks like he’s having fun. 🙂

Have a happy Easter and birthday for your husband!

      1. I have a different edition (paperback, white and gold) but I really like the colours on yours too!! Gold goes so well with black.

  3. Sounds like you had a pretty good March and hauled some lovely books there 🙂
I remember my niece started to talk, then went quiet again for a while. Now (at 10) she doesn’t ever stop!

  5. Happy Easter Annemieke! 🙂 March was such a great reading month for you. I’m dying to read Lake Silence, but I still need to catch up with the series. I still don’t know how Simon and Meg story ends.

Congratulations on reaching 700 wordpress followers. That’s such a great accomplished.

Hope your hubby had a great birthday.

    Happy readings! 🙂

    1. Thanks! I was a little dissapointed by Pitch Dark but it is still a good read. I just had higher expectations.
Haha and that sounds familiar. 😉

  7. I know kids are a total pain-in-the-butt sometimes, but I am across the sea, and to me Merijn is always too cute, ha ha. 💜✨😁

Ah, the Fables books, I have wanted to read those for some time now. I keep forgetting to see if our library has them. I’m happy to see you liked them a lot. Happy to see you liked The Bear and the Nightingale, too! I liked the second book a lot more, so I think you are in for a treat. 📚

Happy birthday to the hubs! I loved The Thunderbirds when I was a young teen. Ha ha. I watched some of the episodes on YouTube last year and they gave me a good chuckle. 😁

As always your photos are wonderful, and thanks for the shout out! Here’s to a fabulous April. 💜

    1. Just wait until you get a grandchild that climbs through your window. I shall be the one laughing across the sea. 😀 😉 ❤

Ah you should totally see if the library has them. They are good fun as in between reads. And I liked it. My buddy readers did not as much. Oh well.

Yeah he loved them a lot too, some good nostalgic fun. 😀

  8. I’m starting the The Bear and the Nightingale so I’m happy you enjoyed it… And YAY your son was eating with a spoon, that’s the best!! Especially when nothing you did before would get him to use it. I’m glad you’re seeing the sunshine and 700 followers!! Congratulations!! ❤

  9. Glad to see you enjoyed The Mad Ship so much. You are in for a treat with the rest of the trilogy if you gave the first book 5 stars!

      1. Tawny Man is very different from Liveship Traders. Hobb alternates between the major geographic areas of the world; I loved that because it meant that I got to see many new places and one place never got too boring.

  10. Wow, 19 books! You are a reading machine. I used to be able to read that much, but since I’ve cut down on ARCs I read about half. I hope you enjoy Defy the Stars, I saw that the sequel is coming out this month!

#kleinegeluksmomentjes

  14. Are you planning to review Pitch Dark? It’s on my GR TBR, but 3.5 stars doesn’t exactly encourage me, haha.

Happy belated birthday to your husband! And yay for going out and doing things! I wish we lived closer so we could hang out.

  15. Wow you read a lot in March! Congrats!

Your April TBR is amazing 🙂 Look forward to hearing your thoughts on Kill A Kingdom and The Smoke Thieves.
Hope you have a wonderful April and your health improves 🙂

  16. I’m so sorry you got sick again. It’s been a brutal year for that. My youngest is home sick today from school with a fever and stuffiness and I’m just over here hoping I don’t catch it while I cuddle with him ack!!
That is the cutest photo of Merijn! Awww soooo adorable!!
And I hope your husband had a wonderful birthday and that you guys had fun playing with his game!

    1. Ugh the viruses going around are terrible at the moment. I hear from so many with young kids that theirs get sick a few times within two months.

Thank you, he did. The game was great too. 😀

  18. I hope you’ve been feeling better! Any time I get sick, my voice is the first to go which really sucks because I answer phone calls for my job.

I love how you breakdown what you read, I don’t even want to know how many unread ebooks I have. I have a one click problem so I know the number would be so outrageous.

Happy belated birthday to your husband! I hope April has treated you well.

    1. My voice went again at the start of the month but for a week and it is a bit shoddy now. It really sucks, right? ._. I’m finding it hard to apply to jobs knowing how often I lose my voice lately again.

      Thank youl. ❤
