So this is a bit of an impulse adition to my blogging schedule. But I saw this fun tag over on Words with Lara, and since this is best done around Christmas I figured I’d schedule in an extra post. Again.
This fun tag was created by Jenniely from A Page of Jenniely. She asks us the hard questions in the bookish naughty list tag. Did we commit some bookish sins this year and how naughty have we really been?
I am a good girl. I swear.
โ
1. Received an ARC and not reviewed itย ย
I currently have 4… I’m usually very on top of things but it is the end of the year and I am distracted and in a bit of a reading slump too. I am however reading one of them at the moment and hoping to have finished it and written the review by the time this posts. Though the review won’t be posted for a while haha.
2. Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley
I don’t think I’ve ever hit below 70%. I try not to request too much at once.
3. Rated a book on goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)
Well not this year, I think…
4. Folded down the page of a book
Not this year…
5. Accidentially spilled on a book
Some water, shhh.
6. DNF a book this year
One. Throne of the Crescent Moon. That just was not for me.
7. Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it
I buy books for the cover all the time but also have every intention on reading them at some point.
8. Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)
All the time. Cleaning, blogging, getting Merijn out of bed (sometimes he wakes up out of a nap and I have 30 pages left so I finish it unless he is crying).
9. Skim read a book
I might have skim read a chapter here or there but never an entire book.
10. Completely missed your Goodreads goal
Nope. Doubled it.
11. Borrowed a book and not returned it
Never!
12. Broke a book buying ban
I did not do a book buying ban so I am safe!
13. Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about
Oh yeah, I have done this. Especially when things are busy. I don’t completely forget what the book is about since I have a good memory for those things but I do forget what I was going to say.
14. Wrote in a book you were reading
Nope.
15. Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads
Not until the next day. Does that count?

Six out of fifteen isn’t too bad. That is 40% naughty and 60% nice. I am mostly nice. See!
I wanted to do this tag, but I’m already booked up for the rest of the month! Next year lol.
Only four ARCs?! I feel like that first Q is harsh because is there any book blogger who doesn’t have at least one ARC they didn’t review yet??? I have 19, and I thought I was doing pretty well since I know some bloggers have over a hundred. I don’t think my NG ratio has ever been below 70% either though. I don’t understand how some people have, like, less than 10%. I’ve seen people say they have less than 1% even, I think! How many books does one have to request to accomplish that?!
We have mostly the same answers, except that I didn’t spill, I didn’t quite double my GR goal, and I’ve been really good about getting book reviewed quickly. But yay, you made the nice list! ๐

It will still be great to fill in next year.
Right? Who would score a 100% on this list with a question like that?
Wait under 10 or 1% o__O How do you do that?

What a good girl you are! Santa had better bring you lots of books! And about not reviewing ARCs… I haven’t even read some of them yet! Ha! ๐

Oh crap, I just realized it said reviewed, not read. I have 19 I haven’t read. Even more I haven’t reviewed lol.

๐ I try not to request too much at once otherwise I will tumble down that very large gaping black hole that is Netgalley.

I’m scared of this tag. I’d definitely be on the Naughty list.
Happy readings! ๐

This is such a cute tag! Looking at these questions I donโt think anyone can be 100% nice haha

Right? it judges us hard haha.

This is such an awesome tag! Have to save it for next year, it’s definitely one I’d love to do as well around Christmas time. I can’t believe there’d be anyone out there who is completely nice haha. I think I’d be very naughty, lol.

Nope, this tag judges us hard.

I really like this tag! It’s an amazing list, actually. My biggest problem with this, however, is that I FULLY believe in DNF’ing. If you don’t enjoy a book, DNF it. Life is too short to read crappy books.
Your NetGalley score is SUPER high! Well done! I am in a bad place with my NetGalley. Oops. I didn’t mean to end up with a 53% rating, but I sometimes drink too much wine and go on a requesting spree. Silly Jackie. ๐

Haha it is. True. I don’t think DNF-ing is a bad thing either if it works for you. I’m not a good dnf-er though haha.
Haha, no more wine for you Jackie. ๐ But hey, January is there to clean up the netgalley messes, right? ๐

It can be challenging to DNF a book, honestly. I’ve just gotten better over time. and I find it’s easier to DNF an audiobook that a physical book for some reason. I think that’s because if I’m bored I’ll mentally check out and the book will keep going.
Exactly! I hope that this year I can clean up my NetGalley mess some and get that score back up! Here’s to cleaning up things in January and all of 2018.
