Beat the Backlist 2018 Sign-Up

You might remember from last year and the mention in my monthly wrap ups that I joined Beat the Backlist 2017.  This challenge was all about reading the books that were published before 2017, the so called backlist books as new releases are so often prioritized.

For 2018 this challenge is brought back! And of course I am joining. There are some changes. There is still the challenge aspect but not the House Cup. And some things are simplified when it comes to submitting points. So if that was a reason to not join in on the challenge aspect last year, things will be much easier this time around. I’m looking forward to it.

Main Goal

This year I am going to focus on a certain amount of books I’d like to read for this challenge. I am going to settle on 40 books this year. A little less than last year but who knows what next year will bring, right?

Extra Goal

I also want to join in on the fun of the bookstagram challenges. Every Thursday we have a prompt to post a picture for. All the prompts for the full year are already known which I love as I am a planner.

Team

Like last year I do want to participate in the competitive part of the challenge. This time around I can’t choose my own team. You are asinged a team once you have submitted your sign up post. When I know I will edit this post to show it and I will show it in the sidebar most likely.

Edit: I am a NovelKnight!

  2. I was wanting to sign up for this too! I have SO many books on my bookshelf and on my kindle from prior years and I definitely need to read them! 🙂
